Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening registration for the 2026/2027 academic session. The institution invites suitably qualified candidates who are interested in gaining admission into its various undergraduate programmes to participate in the online screening exercise.
The screening exercise is open to candidates who selected EBSU as their first-choice institution during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as candidates who initially selected other universities but are willing to change their institution of choice to EBSU through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
EBSU Post-UTME Registration Period
The university has scheduled the registration exercise to commence on:
Opening Date: 22nd May 2026
Closing Date: 22nd June 2026
All eligible candidates are strongly encouraged to complete their registration before the deadline, as late applications may not be entertained.
Eligibility Criteria for EBSU Post-UTME Screening
To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
- Must have participated in the 2026 UTME.
- Must have obtained a minimum score of 150 and above in the UTME.
- Must have selected Ebonyi State University as their first-choice institution.
Candidates who did not initially choose EBSU but wish to gain admission into the university are also eligible to apply after successfully completing a Change of Institution process through the JAMB portal.
Direct Entry Admission Screening
Direct Entry applicants seeking admission into EBSU are equally required to participate in the online screening exercise.
In addition to completing the screening registration, Direct Entry candidates must ensure that their previous institutions verify and upload their A-Level qualifications through the JAMB portal. This verification process is mandatory before the university can recommend any Direct Entry applicant for admission consideration.
Screening Registration Fee
The approved screening fee for both Post-UTME and Direct Entry candidates is:
₦2,000 (Two Thousand Naira Only)
Please note that the payment is non-refundable. Applicants are advised to carefully verify all information before submission to avoid errors that may affect their admission process.
