Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology (ISCOTECH) is one of Nigeria's leading Colleges of Health Technology, committed to producing highly skilled, competent, and industry-ready healthcare professionals. Beyond academic excellence, the College recognizes the importance of developing students' interpersonal, leadership, and employability skills. Regular soft skills training prepares students to communicate effectively, solve real-world problems, adapt to changing work environments, and excel in their professional careers.
As part of its commitment to producing well-rounded graduates, ISCOTECH organized a transformative Soft Skills Training Programme aimed at equipping students with practical workplace and employability skills.
The training commenced at approximately 10:00 a.m. and was held simultaneously at the College Hall and other designated lecture rooms. The programme was delivered in three interactive sessions across different venues, attracting an overwhelming number of final-year students and demonstrating their commitment to personal and professional development.
The team was led by Titilope Y., alongside John O., Lead, Monitoring and Evaluation, and other experienced facilitators. Together, they delivered engaging and practical sessions on essential 21st-century skills, including:
• Emotional Intelligence
• Effective Communication
• Creative Thinking
• Critical Analysis and Problem Solving
• Time Management
• Employability Workshop
Participants actively engaged in discussions, practical exercises, and collaborative learning activities aimed at preparing them for success both within and beyond the classroom.
To further encourage participation and continuous learning, students were provided with refreshments and awarded free certificates of participation, demonstrating the partners' shared commitment to equipping young people with skills that matter in the 21st-century workplace.
