The university invites suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes to participate in the online screening process.
The admission portal is scheduled to open on 1st June 2026 and will remain accessible until 31st July 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid last-minute difficulties.
As part of its admission policy, KOMU has adopted a fully online screening process based on candidates' UTME performance and verified O'Level results uploaded on the JAMB CAPS platform. No physical screening examination has been announced at this stage.
KOMU Post-UTME/DE Screening Fee
Candidates applying for the screening exercise are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦2,000 only. Payment is to be made electronically through the approved Remita payment platform after completing the online application form.
Eligibility Requirements for KOMU Admission 2026/2027
Category A: First-Choice Candidates
Candidates who selected Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME registration are eligible to apply for all available programmes, including highly competitive courses with higher UTME benchmarks.
Category B: Change of Institution Candidates
Candidates who did not initially choose KOMU during UTME registration but obtained a minimum score of 150 may also apply for programmes requiring 150 and above. However, such candidates must first process a Change of Institution through the JAMB portal and select KOMU as their preferred institution before completing the application.
It is important to note that candidates changing to KOMU after UTME registration may not be considered for some highly competitive programmes with special admission requirements.
