The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), through the Office of the Registrar, has issued an official bulletin notifying students of a temporary academic break approved by the University Senate.

According to the announcement dated May 22, 2026, the institution has approved a five-day mid-semester break, which will commence on Monday, May 25, 2026, and end on Friday, May 29, 2026.

The university explained that lectures and other academic engagements will be suspended during the break period to allow students sufficient time to rest, reorganize, and engage in personal academic activities.

Students Advised to Prepare for Mid-Semester Assessment

In addition to the break announcement, the university management strongly encouraged students to make productive use of the short holiday period by adequately preparing for the Mid-Semester Continuous Assessment Test, which is expected to begin immediately after the resumption from break.

The institution emphasized the importance of returning to campus fully prepared and punctual for the assessment process, stressing that adherence to academic schedules remains compulsory for all students.

Lectures Suspended During Break Period

FUNATO further clarified that all lectures and academic activities will remain on hold throughout the approved break period. Students are therefore advised to maximize the opportunity for revision, project work, and other academic preparations ahead of the assessment exercise.

The university reiterated its expectation for students to comply with the academic calendar and resume promptly after the break.

Management Emphasizes Discipline and Compliance

The institution reminded students that punctuality and compliance with university regulations remain mandatory, especially as academic activities resume after the short recess.

Students are encouraged to stay updated with official university communications for any further directives regarding the Continuous Assessment Test schedule.
